Money Island

You gain access to 'Money Island' during Chapter 5. In this mode, Kiryu competes with the "Five Billionaires of Kamurocho". Each Billionaire controls a different section of Kamurocho. At first, you only compete against the Pleasure Tycoon. After completing his story, you compete against 3 other Tycoons (Computer Tycoon, Sex Tycoon, and Gambling Tycoon). Then after completing the stories of those 3, you compete against the Entertainment Tycoon.

Buying Properties

You can buy properties by going up to a property and interacting with it (see the individual tycoon sections for property locations). Sometimes you can only gain a property by becoming friends with people.

==================================================

Collecting Profits

To collect profits, highlight an area and press Triangle. Then the game will ask you to confirm and it will tell you how much you have to pay for the manager and security guard (their salaries). Over time, the progress bar fills (the speed at which it fills can be improved via CP Exchange). When it is full, highlight an area and press Circle to collect the profits.

==================================================

Money Battles

When collecting profits from areas, sometimes the area's Tycoon will engage in a Money Battle (it's completely random). If this happens, your manager offers opposition. His/her 'health' is determined by their stars (5 stars = most health/resistance). If this goes all the way down, you lose one of your properties and will have to buy it again. However, if you win, your occupancy of the area increases by 1%. By pressing Circle, you can restore the manager's "health" (it costs 100,000 yen each time). To be honest, considering how much money you make in this game, I can guarantee the only way you will lose the money battles is if you deliberately let the Tycoon win. The only time you may struggle is when you first start Money Island, if you don't have much money. After you start collecting lots of money from the areas, it's pretty much impossible to lose.

Money battles stop happening in an area after you complete the story of that area's Tycoon.

==================================================

Trouble Events

Like the money battles, these occur randomly. When this happens, the profit collection progress bar stops and will not resume until the trouble is resolved. If your security guard has any stars, he will automatically take care of the trouble for you, but will lose a star. If you don't have a security guard in that area or he doesn't have any stars left, you will have to deal with the trouble personally. The trouble location is indicated on the map. You fight that area's Tycoon's henchmen (their strength varies between Weak, Average, and Tough).

Trouble events stop happening in an area after you complete the story of that area's Tycoon, so you can save yourself a little money if you want by not stationing a security guard in completed locations. Though it's worth pointing out that stationed guards sometimes help you out in fights in that area, so if you want their help then keep them stationed.

==================================================

Employees

There are 3 kinds of employees you have: Managers, Security Guards, and Advisors.

Managers

Your manager is responsible for the overall management of the area in which you put him/her.

The Stars refer to their "health"(/resistance) in "Money Battles" (see above).

The numbers under that refer to their Business Influence. The higher the number, the bigger their influence on the profits (meaning you get more money). If it's a negative number, then it has a negative impact on your profits. The numbers move in a cycle - every time you collect profits, the number moves to the right. Once it reaches the 5th number (always a negative number) it stays there, so you'll have to swap them out for someone else and then collect profits to reset it. Additionally, if you remove a manager from an area and put him into another area, the number cycle resets back to the start.

The money at the bottom incidates their salary.

Security Guards

Your security guard is responsible for maintaining order in the area in which you put him.

The Stars refers to how many Trouble Incidents (see above) he can deal with. If he has no stars he will not be able to deal with trouble. Removing a guard from an area and placing him in another area will restore his stars back to the full amount.

The numbers under that refer to his Public Order Influence. The higher this number, the less likely a trouble event will occur. The numbers move in a cycle - every time you collect profits, the number moves to the right. Once it reaches the 5th number (always a negative number) it stays there, so you'll have to swap them out for someone else and then collect profits to reset it.

The money at the bottom incidates their salary.

Advisors

Advisors will improve properties to get them up to S rank.

There are 5 kinds of properties:

- Restaurants
- Retail
- Pleasure
- Sex
- Enterprise

The stars refers to how good they are (the higher the star rating, the better advice they give).

The X icons mean they are NOT good advisors for that particular type of property (meaning the bar doesn't increase so much).

The Triangle icons mean they are average advisors for that particular type of property (bar increases by an average amount).

The Circle icons mean they are good advisors for that particular type of property (bar increases by a large amount).

The icons which have a circle within another circle mean they are very good advisors for that particular type of property (bar increases by a very large amount).

The better advisors cost more money (you pay an advisor for every single property you improve). How much an advisor will cost you is incidated at the bottom of the advisor's card.

You can only improve a property once per time - you must collect profits before you can improve again.

Ranking up a property also increases your occupancy percentage.

  • Pleasure Tycoon
  • Computer Tycoon
  • Sex Tycoon
  • Gambling Tycoon
  • Entertainment Tycoon

You start off in the Money Island story by competing with the Pleasure Tycoon.

==================================================

==30%==

When you get your occupancy of the area up to 30%, you'll see the Pleasure Tycoon and some of his guys outside the office with Marina. Go up to them to trigger the event.

The Pleasure Tycoon is demanding to see Kiryu - the guy in charge, but Marina says he's not there right now. Kiryu then steps forward and asks what he wants. The Pleasure Tycoon says "So you're the guy in charge here, huh?". He then notices Kiryu is the one who bumped into him earlier and says he can't believe this guy is the president here! He says he's not happy with Kiryu invading his area. Kiryu points out that this is just business, but the Pleasure Tycoon isn't having any of it. He doesn't like indirect ways of doing things and keeps things under his control by force. He gets his guard - Takeshita - and the guys to punish Kiryu.

After beating Takeshita, the Pleasure Tycoon says Kiryu is something else, being able to take out Takeshita. He says he'll let Kiryu off for now but warns him if he makes him any angrier he'll take Kiryu out - if Kiryu dies, then the Pleasure Tycoon can take his properties. So if he doesn't want to die, then he needs to stand down now and not interfere in his area any more. As he leaves, he says "Don't mess with the Five Billionaires".

==================================================

==60%==

When you get your occupancy up to 60%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 60%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina says one of the Pleasure Tycoon's guys - Takeshita - showed up and told her to tell Kiryu to go to the Karaoke Snack Bar. She wonders what it could be about and Kiryu says he's not sure either but it's probably something to do with the fact Kiryu has taken over quite a lot of his area. Marina says it could be a trap, but Kiryu points out if they wanted to start a fight with him they wouldn't call him out to the Karaoke Snack Bar specifically.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you meet with the Pleasure Tycoon.

Enter the Karaoke Snack Bar (TOP OPTION) to trigger an event.

You'll see the Pleasure Tycoon singing Karaoke. Kiryu asks why he called him out here and he says he wants to play with him today. Apparently the Five Billionaires often gamble a section of the territory in a competition. Kiryu asks what sort of competition they're doing and the Pleasure Tycoon says karaoke! Kiryu accepts the challenge. You must get over 80 points in the Judgement song to win.

If you win, you get an extra 10% occupancy in the Tycoon's area. If you lose, you lose 10% occupancy. So if you want to get through the Money Island story more quickly, you might want to save before competing. Losing isn't the end of the world though; it will just take you longer to get up to the higher pecentages necessary to complete the story.

After beating him and gaining 10% more occupancy, Takeshita says this is looking bad - they're losing all their territory! The Pleasure Tycoon says he still has another plan up his sleeves yet. He then tells Kiryu the games are over now and he's gonna be serious from now on and claims he will take back everything Kiryu has stolen away from him.

==================================================

==90%==

When you get your occupancy up to 90%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 90%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina tells Kiryu the Pleasure Tycoon has issued a challenge and has told him "Come to my turf". Yamanoi warns him that it's a trap and shouldn't go. But Kiryu says if this is going to be solved by violence, then it works for him. Kiryu says he'll be behind Serena and should prepare, then head over there.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you fight with the Pleasure Tycoon.

When you walk towards the back of Serena, select the TOP OPTION to go in and fight the Pleasure Tycoon.

When you go behind Serena, the Pleasure Tycoon says it's time to settle things. He says he warned him before - if he carried on taking his territory then things would come to this. He plans to kill Kiryu and then take his properties and land back. He also wants to crush Yamanoi and then completely take over this area.

After you beat him, he apologises. Then the other 4 billionaires show up. The Pleasure Tycoon thinks they are here to help him, but they criticise him, saying they're not helping a guy who refuses to use his money - instead trying to use violence. The Pleasure Tycoon says "I thought we were friends?" and the Sex Tycoon says the Five Billionaires aren't friends - they're just 5 rich guys with the same objective. They said they only came here to check out this guy who beat the Pleasure Tycoon. Then they introduce themselves. They say that by beating the Pleasure Tycoon, this whole area is now Kiryu's, then ask what he plans to do next - try to take over more areas? Kiryu says of course that's what he plans to do - he's not gonna let these guys use Kamurocho as their own money game! They say they will all put up a real fight against Kiryu and the Computer Tycoon says the Pleasure Tycoon was actually the weakest of the 5. After the billionaires leave, the Pleasure Tycoon asks Kiryu if he and Takeshita can join him. Kiryu accepts and then you get the Pleasure Tycoon as a Manager and Takeshita as a Security Guard.

The seal on the Thug Fighting Style grid is now removed and you can purchase the more expensive upgrades.

After all that, return to the Money Island office and Yamanoi says it's amazing he beat the Pleasure Tycoon. Marina comments that they still need to prepare to take on the Entertainment Tycoon's area, but are ready to compete with the other 3 billionaires.

You can now compete against the Computer Tycoon, Sex Tycoon and Gambling Tycoon.

==30%==

When you get your occupancy up to 30%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 30%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina tells Kiryu they occupy 30% of the Computer Tycoon's area. Kiryu asks what kind of guy the Computer Tycoon is - Kiryu says he seems like an Otaku, judging from his appearance. Yamanoi says he's a highly intelligent guy, with an IQ of 190! Apparently he's also a really tough fighter.

==================================================

==60%==

When you get your occupancy up to 60%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 60%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina is on the phone. After she finishes, Kiryu asks who it was - she doesn't know, but he just said to tell Kiryu to go to the Nakamichi Arcade. Kiryu supposed the Computer Tycoon has called him out and he should head over to the arcade down Nakamichi Street).

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you meet with the Computer Tycoon.

Go near the arcade entrance and some guys confront Kiryu. They are with the Computer Tycoon. Kiryu tells them he has no business with them and to let him through to the Computer Tycoon, but they won't let him through unless he beats them in a fight.

After you beat them, Kiryu enters the arcade and sees the Computer Tycoon playing a game. He talks to him, then the Computer Tycoon moans at him about having no manners, interrupting someone while they're playing a game. Kiryu moans at him about calling him out here, but the Computer Tycoon says he wants to thank him! He says the world is full of poor people and idiots and he easily got hold of this area in Kamurocho, but now that Kiryu has shown up and shown he's the real deal, the Computer Tycoon is having fun! He says this is a game to him and that he'll be the one who will come out on top - he's a genius with an IQ of 190 and he's also the best gamer in Kamurocho, so there's no way Kiryu can beat him in a game. Kiryu moans at him, saying because of these Tycoons playing around with Kamurocho using their money, a lot of people are having troubles. Before Kiryu leaves, the Computer Tycoon challenges Kiryu to a game in the arcade - they'll play Out Run. Kiryu accepts the challenge, then the Computer Tycoon plays a game of Out Run, scoring 5 million points - he said he made too many mistakes and is not so good at racing games! Next, Kiryu plays. You must get a score of over 5 million points to win.

After beating him and gaining 10% more occupancy, the Computer Tycoon praises Kiryu's gaming skills, saying if he weren't his enemy, he'd love to be gaming pals with him. As Kiryu goes to leave, the Computer Tycoon says that Kiryu might die if he carries on - it's okay for him to be confident, but he shouldn't mess with the five billionaires!

==================================================

==90%==

When you get your occupancy up to 90%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 90%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

The phone rings and Kiryu answers it. It's the Computer Tycoon and he's calling Kiryu out to the arcade again.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you fight with the Computer Tycoon.

Enter the arcade and the Computer Tycoon challenges him to a fight - which Kiryu says is much more his speciality than video games! If Kiryu wins, the Computer Tycoon says he'll hand over all his properties in this area, but if Kiryu loses he has to give the Computer Tycoon all his properties. Then he gets a bunch of his guys to fight alongside him.

After you beat him, he admits defeat and says he won't be doing this Kamurocho Money Game stuff anymore. He says he always loved gaming more than making money, so being a gamer rather than a billionaire is more suited to him. Then the Computer Tycoon joins Kiryu as a Manager in Money Island and you get one of his guys as a Security Guard.

Half of the seal on the Rush Fighting Style grid is now removed and you can purchase the more expensive upgrades.

==30%==

When you get your occupancy up to 30%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 30%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina tells Kiryu they occupy 30% of the Sex Tycoon's area. Kiryu asks what kind of guy the transvestite, the Sex Tycoon, is - Marina says he has the body of a man, but the heart of a woman so he understands the feelings of both genders. But he has a bit of a dark side - buying and selling girls to make them work at places. Somtimes you hear about girls who end up dead after defying the Sex Tycoon!

==================================================

==60%==

When you get your occupancy up to 60%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 60%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Kiryu notices Marina is angry and asks what's wrong. She accuses Kiryu of being a dirty man and didn't think he would go to places like that! Kiryu asks what she's talking about and she hands him a Sex Service Coupon, which thanks Kiryu for always going there and as a symbol of their gratitude he can use this coupon to get completely free service! Kiryu says it's amazing they're offering free service and Marina says no it's not - how many times has Kiryu been there? Kiryu says he's never even been to this place before, but then why did they send that note? Kiryu says maybe it's for Yamanoi, but then notices it is addressed to himself - but it was sent by the Sex Tycoon. So he's been called out by the Sex Tycoon. Apparently this place is down Senryo Street, so Kiryu says he'll go over there.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you meet with the Sex Tycoon.

Go here and you'll see the Sex Tycoon standing with a woman. Get close to them to trigger an event.

The woman moans about how hard this is and the Sex Tycoon says he knows it's hard for her, but she must not go against a customer and if she quits now, all her hard work up till now will be for nothing. The Sex Tycoon tells her to leave everything to him and to trust him. After the woman leaves, he tells her security guard, Jaguar, that they should sell her to "there" before too long. Jaguar says it's a bit too soon for that and shouldn't they see how things go first? The Sex Tycoon says with all the moaning she's doing, she's of no use to him. Kiryu approaches him.

The Sex Tycoon comments on how quickly Kiryu rushed here after getting a free service coupon! Kiryu says that's not why he's here - He called him out. He then challenges Kiryu to a contest - a Chat Line contest. Kiryu wins if he manages to get a date with a girl within 3 minutes. Kiryu accuses him of setting him up - this guy runs this place after all - but the Sex Tycoon says at this particular Chat Line building, he doesn't have any power, so there's no funny business. Kiryu accepts the challenge. You must successfully complete the Chat Line mini-game to win. If you need help with it, visit the Chat Line page.

After beating him and gaining 10% more occupancy, the Sex Tycoon praises Kiryu - saying he was great - and admits defeat. Kiryu asks if he knows what he was talking about on the phone... It turns out the "girl" Kiryu was talking with was the Sex Tycoon himself! Kiryu says he made the biggest mistake of his life...

After that, the Sex Tycoon gets Jaguar and some other guys to attack Kiryu.

==================================================

==90%==

When you get your occupancy up to 90%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 90%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Kiryu notices Marina is angry again and asks what's wrong. She again accuses him of being dirty - he has more sex service notes, 2 of them this time! Kiryu points out it's just the Sex Tycoon again. He reads the first one, about a christmas fare and dominatrixes dressed in santa outfits and shit, then Kiryu points out that this note is actually addressed to Yamanoi! The second note is from the Sex Tycoon, for Kiryu. He has been called out again to the same place as before.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you fight with the Sex Tycoon.

Go to the same place as before and get close to the Sex Tycoon to trigger an event.

The Sex Tycoon says he's gonna give Kiryu one chance - give up his area and his life will be spared. Kiryu laughs at him and then tells the Sex Tycoon the same thing - give up his area and he'll spare his life! Then the Sex Tycoon along with Jaguar and some other guys fight Kiryu.

After beating him, the Sex Tycoon agrees to hand over his area to Kiryu, then asks if he's seriously planning to return Kamurocho to how it was. He points out that just because Kiryu beat him that doesn't mean the Five Billionaires are finished - another billionaire will just take his place. If Kiryu wants to stop this for good, he'll have to take out the source itself, but won't tell Kiryu any more than that. After that, the Sex Tycoon gives Kiryu his number and tells him to call him any time! Now they aren't enemies, they can become close. He then joins Kiryu as an Advisor in Money Island and Jaguar joins as a Security Guard.

Half of the seal on the Destroyer Fighting Style grid is now removed and you can purchase the more expensive upgrades.

==30%==

When you get your occupancy up to 30%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 30%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina tells Kiryu they occupy 30% of the Gambling Tycoon's area. She talks about the Tycoon and how he's all about gambling (because the name doesn't give it away), then Yamanoi adds that he's a former Yakuza! He still has ties with some yakuza who act as bodyguards for him.

After that we see the Gambling and Entertainment Tycoon's around a table with an unknown man, which results in the Gambling Tycoon leaving saying he will get rid of this guy stealing away the areas - he's a former Yakuza after all so he can handle it. The mysterious man warns the Entertainment Tycoon to not take Kiryu lightly.

You cannot progress any further in the Money Island story until you complete Substory 18

==================================================

==60%==

When you get your occupancy up to 60% (and have completed Substory 18), going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 60%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Marina mentions they now occupy 60% of the Gambling Tycoon's area, but now Kiryu has been called out by him. He told Marina to tell Kiryu to go to the Japan Catfight Club.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you meet with the Gambling Tycoon.

Go inside the Japan Catfight Club area to meet with the Gambling Tycoon.

The Gambling Tycoon says he's called him here to challenge him to a contest. They will bet on a girl in the Cat Fighting and they'll see who wins. Kiryu accepts his challenge. The girl you bet on must win in order to win the challenge with the Gambling Tycoon.

After beating him and gaining 10% more occupancy, Kiryu comments that the Gambling Tycoon is pretty calm considering he just lost 10% of his area. The Gambling Tycoon says well, sometimes in gambling you win and sometimes you lose, just like in business - doesn't matter whether you win or lose now and then, all that matters is that you're the one laughing at the end. He then goes on about his policy and how he goes about doing things. Kiryu says he's right about winning at the end being important, but he doesn't agree with the idea that you need to use underhanded methods in order to get that win. Then Kiryu says he'll show him how to win without needing to use dirty tactics when he defeats him and takes all his area!

==================================================

==90%==

When you get your occupancy up to 90%, going into the office triggers an event (if you were in the Money Island screen when you hit 90%, you'll trigger the event when you exit the screen - if you don't get the event after leaving the screen, just leave the office and then re-enter).

Kiryu sees the homeless guy from the Japan Catfight Club in the office. He's been sent here by the Gambling Tycoon - he says he's waiting for Kiryu and it's time they settled things.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you fight with the Gambling Tycoon.

Go here and you'll see the Gambling Tycoon standing around. Get close to him to trigger an event.

The Gambling Tycoon admits he underestimated Kiryu. He says he's going to kill Kiryu here and take everything back, meaning he'll be the one winning in the end. Then a load of his guys show up and fight Kiryu.

After you beat him, he admits defeat and gives up his area to Kiryu. He says he may have won here today, but in the end he'll be victorious - he'll start again from square one and build himself up and get even better than he is now, then challenge Kiryu again.

After that, the Entertainment Tycoon shows up and criticises the Gambling Tycoon for losing. He is here to report to the Gambling Tycoon that before his fight with Kiryu, the Five Billionaires took all his funds and properties! Apparently they knew he would lose, so they took everything from him so he couldn't give it to Kiryu. Kiryu moans at him for abandoning friends like that - just like what happened with the Pleasure Tycoon - but the Entertainment Tycoon says you gotta do this shit to be a billionaire. After he leaves, the Gambling Tycoon says he'll get his revenge and joins Kiryu as a Manager in Money Island.

The other half of the seal on the Rush Fighting Style grid is now removed and you can purchase the more expensive upgrades.

After that, we see the Entertainment Tycoon with the mysterious man and he says he'll take care of Kiryu. Then after he leaves, Yamanoi enters the room!

When you next enter the office, Marina says they've managed to defeat 4 of the Five Billionaires. She says they've managed to get hold of a property in the Entertainment Tycoon's area and now Kiryu can compete with him.

You compete against the Entertainment Tycoon after completing the stories of the Computer, Sex and Gambling Tycoons.

Marina tells Kiryu they occupy 30% of the Entertainment Tycoon's area. Kiryu comments that they're finally down to the last guy - once they beat him, they can take back Kamurocho. Yamanoi points out that he's the strongest and wealthiest of the Five Billionaires and that apparently he used to be a famous dancer. Suddenly, the Entertainment Tycoon shows up while they are talking about him. He tells Kiryu to call him the Disco King - not the Entertainment Tycoon. Kiryu asks why he's here and he says he didn't come for any particular reason - he just wanted to see what kind of guys they are. He says he's not impressed - he thought the guys who beat the other 4 billionaires would be better and wonders how those idiots lost! Kiryu asks if he's here to start a fight, but the Entertainment Tycoon says that unlike the Gambling Tycoon, he doesn't like fighting. As the Entertainment Tycoon leaves, he tells Kiryu he won't be as easy to beat as the others.

Kiryu sees Yamanoi on the ground and Marina is nowhere to be seen. Yamanoi says it was the Entertainment Tycoon and Kiryu has to hurry to save Marina - he needs to head over to the disco.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you meet with the Entertainment Tycoon.

Enter the Maharaja to find the Entertainment Tycoon. Kiryu tells him to let Marina go. The Entertainment Tycoon says she's on the dance floor. Kiryu asks what's going on and Marina tells him they're forcing her to dance - saying they'll kill her if she doesn't. He says in exchange for Marina going free, Kiryu has to dance - he'll have a dance battle with the Entertainment Tycoon.

After beating him and gaining 10% more occupancy, The Entertainment cannot believe that he - the Disco King - got beaten in a dance battle. Then Kiryu and Marina leave. Outside, Marina thanks Kiryu, then as she's about to say something to Kiryu, he says he's got other things to do and tells her to take care on her way back.

Marina tells Kiryu the Entertainment Tycoon has called Kiryu out - telling him to come over to his turf to settle things.

You cannot enter the Money Island screen again until you fight with the Entertainment Tycoon.

Go here to meet with the Entertainment Tycoon. He calls a bunch of his guys over and says though he doesn't like fighting, this is what he needs to do to settle things. He then tells Kiryu the reason he hates fighting is because it's boring - everyone is too weak and doesn't offer any challenge to him!

After you beat him, Kiryu says it's finally over - he's beaten all the billionaires! But the Entertainment Tycoon says it's not over - the true mastermind behind the Five Billionaires is someone else. Then the mysterious man shows up. The Entertainment Tycoon says this man is the one who controls the Five Billionaires - the super-billionaire, the Finance Tycoon. He tells Kiryu his objective is money - everything is all about the money. The world is about survival of the fittest - and these days you need money. Kiryu says he's pretty selfish and the Finance Tycoon says Yamanoi once said the same thing - turns out he and Yamanoi used to work together, but then they ended up going down different paths after their ideas of doing things changed. Then he gives an unnecessarily drawn out speech about how he introduced the money game crap and how he succeeded in making money, how Yamanoi didn't agree with his way of doing things, how he didn't agree with Yamanoi's way of doing things, the formation of the Five Billionaires (how he didn't think he could gain control by himself so he gathered these other guys to work for him so he could completely control Kamurocho), then he succeeded and things we fine until Kiryu showed up. He says now Kiryu beat all the Billionaires and has united all the areas of Kamurocho, he can just steal it all from Kiryu in one go. He gets his guys to fight Kiryu and says he has no use for the Entertainment Tycoon any more so he'll die here as well. He says even if Kiryu does manage to win here, he has another plan up his sleeves. The Entertainment Tycoon then joins up with Kiryu to fight the guys.

After the fight, the Entertainment Tycoon says he's no longer one of the Five Billionaires so he'll join up with Kiryu. You get the Entertainment Tycoon as an Advisor in Money Island. Suddenly, Marina shows up and says they've got a problem - Kiryu needs to get back to the office right away.

The other half of the seal on the Destroyer Fighting Style grid is now removed and you can purchase the more expensive upgrades.

==================================================

When you get back to the office, Marina says Yamanoi has disappeared - along with all the deeds and other documents relating to the properties. Kiryu asks if they were stolen, but Marina says only Yamanoi could access the safe. It seems that Yamanoi took them. Then the Pleasure and Computer Tycoon's show up and tell Kiryu their guys saw Yamanoi heading to the "Billionaire Room" and it looked like he was holding some important documents. The Computer Tycoon suggests that the Finance Tycoon is buying-out Yamanoi. After all, now that Yamanoi has all the areas of Kamurocho, the Finance Tycoon can buy them all out in one go. Kiryu says Yamanoi wouldn't sell out like that. Then the Gambling Tycoon barges in and tells Kiryu his properties are being assaulted by the Finance Tycoon's guys, one by one! They say the only way Kiryu can stop everything is by facing the Finance Tycoon - before Yamanoi hands over the deeds. They tell Kiryu that the Sex Tycoon has prepared a car for him and he'll find him at the bottom of Tenkaichi Street. They also tell Kiryu they'll take care of things here while he's gone.

You cannot go back into the office until you face the Finance Tycoon.

Go to the bottom of Tenkaichi Street and speak to the Sex Tycoon. Select the TOP OPTION to face the Finance Tycoon.

Kiryu sees Yamanoi, the Finance Tycoon and the documents on the table. The Finance Tycoon says, without these deeds all Kiryu's work will be for nothing - his friend, Yamanoi, has brought them here. Yamanoi admits that if you have the money, you can do anything. The Finance Tycoon then asks Kiryu if he now understands that there's nothing more important than money. Kiryu moans at Yamanoi - he said he didn't want Kamurocho to be used as part of some money game. The Finance Tycoon says he's busy taking over Kamurocho and Kiryu is getting in the way, then gets his guys to attack him.

After beating his guys, the Finance Tycoon says he's impressive, but it's too late, then tells Yamanoi to hand over the remaining document. He then says with Kamurocho belonging to him, he'll be making countless billions of yen. Then Yamanoi gets out a gun and says he's been waiting for this moment - he only said he'd hand over Kamurocho so he could get close to him. The tells the Finance Tycoon that there are things you cannot buy with money - like life - and he's going to prove it right now. The Finance Tycoon says they can come to an agreement though and asks how much Yamanoi wants, but Yamanoi says there are people in this world who aren't moved by money. As Yamanoi is about to shoot, Marina enters and says if he does this, he'll be no better than the Finance Tycoon. Then, she reveals she's actually a detective and apologises for hiding it from them. She said in order to hunt down the mastermind behind the money game, she joined up with Yamanoi. So she says he doesn't need to kill him anyway - he will pay for his crimes now. Marina then thanks Kiryu, saying it's thanks to him she got hold of the man behind it all. Then they go to leave, but the Finance Tycoon picks up the gun and says he's not going to stand for this - he'll kill them all and take everything. Kiryu then tells Yamanoi and Marina to leave this to him, then fights the Finance Tycoon.

After beating him, you learn the Dragon of Dojima Fighting Style. You can use this style by going to the pause menu and pressing Square. To go back to the other fighting styles, press Square again at the pause menu.

The police take the Finance Tycoon away and Yamanoi says finally everything is over now. Yamanoi can't help but feel a bit sad though - they used to be friends with the same motives. He then regrets that he didn't stop him way back then - if he did things wouldn't have come to this. But it turns out money has the power to change people - like it changed the Finance Tycoon. Kiryu points out that it's true money can change people, but it can also change people for the better as well - he believes it's the duty of those with money to help change people for the better. Yamanoi worries that even after sorting out Kamurocho, there may be another Finance Tycoon in the future - there will always be people who can moved like that by money. But Marina says she's sure Kamurocho will be fine. Then they head back to the office together.

Back in the office, Kiryu along with all the Tycoon's (except the Finance Tycoon, of course) and Kiryu tells them they've taken Kamurocho away from the Finance Tycoon and now comes the important part - restoring the place back to the way it should be. He's sure they can work together to make Kamurocho a great place.

After that, the Money Island story is complete. You receive Sexy Video #9 [Shiraishi Marina].
